Free Mariachi Festival This Saturday at Arneson River Theatre
Looking for something free to do with the family this Saturday? The annual Mariachi Festival takes over the Arneson River Theatre on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. — and admission is completely free.
What to expect
Middle and high school mariachi students from San Antonio and surrounding schools perform throughout the day on the River Walk’s most iconic outdoor stage. The festival has been running for more than 20 years through the Diez y Seis de Septiembre Commission, and this year’s edition is managed by LULAC Council 4947. Performance funds go back into the school music programs — so your free afternoon out directly supports student musicians.
Food and arts & crafts booths will be set up for the day, so you can easily make an afternoon of it.
